First thing to do is download a copy of the blackforest script from http://www.blackforest.theforesters.net/dl/setup.html if you haven't got that already and make sure it's set up properly.

 

Then google winamp, download and install it if you don't have a copy. Once that is set up and working properly, close winamp.

 

Open Windows Explorer and open your Program Files and open Blackforest Script. In the search bar type GenExController. Open/ run/ install GenExController.

 

Once that is done, open winamp, click the options tab and click Preferences.

 

Under the Plug-ins section click General Purpose.

 

Click mIRC Control EX Plug-In V 2.00 (gen_mircex.dll)

 

Click Configure Selected Plug-in

 

In the text box "Text to send to mIRC" Input this EXACTLY:

/mA.Set-Song-Name %s | /mA.Set-Filepath %f | /mA.Set-Length %t | /mA.Set-Bitrate %b

 

In the text box "mIRC DDE Server"… type exactly: MIRC

 

Check the two boxes for "Enabled" and "Resend text on Replay"

 

Ok winamp can send the info to mirc with those settings.

 

In a channel, Type /join #Pets (You will be in trouble if you flood blackforest testing this new script)

 

In your server window type this EXACTLY:

 

/DDESERVER ON

 

Then you should see this: * DDE Server is on (mIRC)

 

Then execute this command: /load -rs addons/mircamp/mircamp20.mrc

 

-        Accept any changes the application warns you about (you ARE installing a script, you know…)

 

-        The setup window should popup, if not: Right click the channel window. Select mIRCAmp > Menus > Setup.

 

-        Click the Channels tab and add #Pets

 

-        Click the Themes tab in the same menu and in the Custom Theme box do this with the text boxes… First - Text Colour = 14… First-Background Colour = 1… Second-Text Colour = 0… Second-Background Colour = 1… The last box at the bottom must be 0.

 

Play any song in winamp and right click the channel in #Pets… select MircAmp and select Show Song. Your song playing in winamp should be revealed in #Pets

 

All that is left to do once you see that this is running properly is to right click the channel window/select mIRCAmp/Menus/Setup… click the Channels tab and add #blackforest (you can now remove #Pets)

 

Congrats, you are now ready to use MircAmp in #blackforest… simply click Show Song everytime you want to show what you are listening to.

 

Please note: We won't take kindly to you flooding us with songs in channel so please don't show us every song you play.
