Cell Set Up :
If your phone supports java games and is wap enabled, this should work on your phone. You are going to use a client called jmIrc to chat from your cell phone.

To download the client for chatting on your cell phone, type the address http://jmirc.sf.net/jmIrc.jad  (case sensitive) in your cell phone's wap browser and you can start your download and install.

Once you have downloaded it, you will find the program under "java applications" on your phone. You will then need to set up the configuration options. Open the application called jmIrc on your phone by selecting Start.

Select Options > Profiles.
Under Profiles, select Options > Add new profile.
Then complete the following fields for profile configuration:
Profile name: Atrum
Nick: Stella (or your regular nick)
Alternative nick: Stella1 (an alternative nick you can use)
IRC Server:  akoula.atrum.org
IRC server port: 6667
Channels: #blackforest, #tr1v1a (these must be preceded by # and separated by a comma)
Username: XXX (doesn't matter what you put here)
Real name: jmirc user (doesn't matter what you put here either - but pref don't put your real name)
Server password: (leave blank, unless you have registered your nickname - in which case, you need to put your password for Nickserv here)

Then select Save to save the configuration options.

Then select Save again to save the profile for use the next time you log on.

Once this is all done, you should be able to connect. Select Options > Connect to connect to IRC and the channels you have specified.

Once you are connected, you can select Options > Names to view a list of nicknames online in that channel. Select a nick to chat in private. Then select Query, followed by Options > Msg . Then type your msg and select Send.

To chat in the main channel, select Options > Msg when you are in the channel and then type your message and select Send. You will notice there are little purple blocks at the top of your screen. These act like windows on a computer. You can move from one to the next using your arrow keys on your cell phone.

Using & Navigating JmIrc

Navigating
Most cell phones these days have the centre navigation buttons just below the screen. Use there for up, down, left & right, with the ok/select button in the middle. Some cell phones may not have these, if that is the case simply use the same buttons you would use to navigate your phone normally.

Once you are connected you will notice the little coloured dots in the top left hand corner of your screen, there indicate the windows you have open. The white ones indicate the open windows, black is the window you are currently active in and purple/pink will indicate windows with waiting messages. If your JmIrc is set up to highlight when your nickname is mentioned, it will be indicated with red. The first one of these coloured dots is your status window, the rest will be your channel and private chat windows, these will be in the order that you open them. The top right hand corner will show the channel name or the name of the person you are talking to.
To navigate between these windows use the right or left navigation buttons.

Select Advanced, at the very bottom, where is says Highlight String, enter your nickname in there, then press the save button. Then u can connect as you normally do.
